Harry Edward Styles - also known as Harry Styles - is a British musician and composer. Harry Styles has been recognized for his compositions in the One Direction band. His parents include Des Styles and Anne Cox. He was born on the 1st of February, 1994 in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, which is where he formed his own group of musicians with three classmates, which was named the White Eskimo. They were the winners of the Battle of Bands in 2009 due to their impressive performance. He always showed an interest in music but wanted to become the next lawyer or physical therapist. For a while he worked part-time in a bakery in the city he lived in to help financially at home. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition in which he performed Stevie Wonder's song Is not She Lovely. The reason for this was the band split up. The audition was held on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles join the band to be dubbed One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell was the sponsor of this group, which began in the year 2010. The group performed the song Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would be Sucking Without You as well as Bonnie Tyler Total Eclipse of the Heart. In result, they were among the finalists. But they came in third, behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles was not the winner, but Cowell had paid two million pounds under a contract with One Direction.
